In a confidential, caring environment, we support individuals, couples, and families in processing loss while gently reconnecting with hope, meaning, and a sense of purpose.

Young SWANS Grief Support Group

Our support groups offer a calm, confidential space to sit with your loss and explore how grief is affecting you. Facilitated by caring, professionally trained grief practitioners, these groups provide connection, comfort, and gentle guidance as you navigate your journey.

Young SWANS is a dedicated support group for individuals who have experienced the sudden death of their partner. Designed to help bereaved people aged 59 and under, Young SWANS provides a safe space to process grief, share experiences, and find support while navigating this sudden loss. Eligibility criteria apply.

Program Details (Semi-formal):

  • 10-week program

  • 6 weeks of grief information with open discussion

  • Group size: maximum of 8–10 people

  • Delivery mode: online via telehealth (Zoom) to support those with work commitments

  • Bulk billed under Medicare Better Access with a GP referral

Cuppa and Connect

Cuppa & Connect is a gentle, informal online grief support space designed to offer information, connection, and reassurance after loss. Over a cuppa, participants can learn more about grief—what’s common, what can feel confusing, and what support options exist. It’s a welcoming first step for anyone seeking guidance, resources, or a sense of connection while navigating grief.

Grief Counselling

Helen is a registered psychologist with a wealth of experience supporting people through loss, grief, and trauma. She has researched grief extensively and has spent the past 7 years working closely with the bereaved across settings such as aged care, violence/crime-related loss, and suicide. Helen has supported diverse communities, including Indigenous and LGBTIQA+ individuals, and is an experienced grief group facilitator, educator, and supervisor of other practitioners.
